1986 - Women held hostage at Mr. Dominic's
Two women were held hostage at Mr. Dominics on August 10, 1986.
Since the opeing of the first Mr. Dominic's on Central Ave. in 1975, the business was restricted by the Licensing Board on numerous occasions. In 1986 the Licensing Board permanently rolled back the bar's closing hour from 2 am to 11 pm. The bar soon closed.

1986 - Bar owner guilty of insurance fraud surrounding fire that destroyed Tamany Hall Lounge
The Tamany Hall Lounge was owned by Dominic L. Serino from 1980 to 1981. He was found guilty of asking workmen to produce inflated invoices before a fire and then submitting a fraudulent insurance claim. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison.

1984 - Angry neighbors want Mr. Dominic's hours rolled back
Mr. Dominic's moved from Central Ave. to Broad St. in 1983 and was soon met with community opposition. The bar closed in 1987 after the bar's closing hour was rolled back to 11 pm and the owner, Dominic Serino went to prison for insurance fraud surrounding the fire at Tamany Hall Lounge.

1983 - Fire damages Marco-Marco LGBTQ bar
Marco-Marco, which opened and closed in 1983, was one of six gay bars at 212 Broad Street, all owned by Dominic L. Serino.

1979 - Reward offered for information about gay bashing
Three men were assaulted on Washington St. on December 14, 1979. Rewards were offered by a local gay bar, Mr. Dominics, and businessman and LGBTQ+ advocate, Jay Gilbert, under the name of the organization he is working to create, the Gay Community Center of Lynn.

1976 - Lynn's newest "Gay" spot, Mr. Dominic's
Mr. Dominic's advertises itself as a "Gay" place on the front page of the Lynn Item. Mr. Dominic's operated from 1975 until 1980, when the owner opened Dom's Lounge and Barbeque on Broad Street. In 1983 a new Mr. Dominic's opened at the Broad St. location.

1975 - Mr. Dominic's Lounge a trouble spot
The first Mr. Dominic's opens on Central Ave. in 1975, followed by Mr. Dominic's II on Park St. in 1977 and a new Broad St. location in 1983 called Mr. Dominic's. All the bars had frequent action by the alcohol licensing board for overcrowding, absentee management, and being frequented by prostitutes.
