1994 - St. Pius V makes a panel for the AIDS quilt
The welcoming congregation of St. Pius V Catholic Church served AIDS victims when other churches would not. They contributed a panel to the National AIDS Memorial Quilt, saying:
"Our local funeral director and our parish community are welcoming to all people and as a result the AIDS Action Committee often referred people to us.
We have not placed any names on our panel so as not to leave someone off and out of respect for those who desire privacy. Our prayers, love and concern travel with this panel.”
